VIDA Health (Victorian Health Building Authority) is responsible for the rollout of the Victorian Government's multi-billion-dollar health capital projects. We're delivering world-class health facilities across Victoria including new public hospitals and emergency care, community health services, ambulance branches, residential aged care and mental health facilities. VIDA Health also provides technical support across engineering, property, asset management and environmental sustainability disciplines.  

 

The Opportunity

 

As Manager, Project Data Governance, you will lead a team of analysts within the Project Controls branch to ensure project data is accurate, consistent, well-governed and fit for purpose. Your work will underpin critical internal and external reporting to senior executives, Ministers, central agencies and the public.

This is a senior leadership role focused on establishing strong data governance frameworks, driving quality and assurance across project reporting, and enabling meaningful insights through modern analytics and visualisation tools.

Working closely with project teams, Reporting & Analytics, and key stakeholders across VIDA and government, you will ensure project data supports informed decision-making across the full project lifecycle.


Key aspects of the role include:

  • Establishing and maintaining data governance standards, definitions and quality frameworks for project data.
  • Leading a team of analysts to deliver high-quality insights and dashboards using tools such as Power BI.
  • Overseeing the coordination, quality assurance and delivery of monthly project and program reporting.
  • Supporting external reporting, ministerial briefs and audit requirements with defensible, accurate data.
  • Driving innovation and continuous improvement across project data, reporting and governance practices.
  • Ensuring compliance with legislative, privacy and information security requirements.

 

We are looking for:

  • A data governance or reporting leader with experience in complex, enterprise-scale environments.
  • Strong expertise in data quality, governance frameworks and assurance processes
  • Experience working with analytics and reporting platforms such as Power BI, Excel/Power Query, SharePoint and SQL-based environments.
  • Proven ability to translate complex data into clear insights for executive and non-technical audiences.
  • A confident leader who builds capability, influences stakeholders and drives continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in data governance, business, analytics, risk, project management or a related discipline, or demonstrated equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience within project controls, PMO or large infrastructure delivery environments will be highly regarded.
