The Victorian Health Building Authority (VHBA) is responsible for the rollout of the Victorian Government's multi-billion-dollar health capital projects. We're delivering world-class health facilities across Victoria including new public hospitals and emergency care, community health services, ambulance branches, residential aged care and mental health facilities. VHBA also provides technical support across engineering, property, asset management and environmental sustainability disciplines. 

 

 

The Opportunity

 

In this position you will have the opportunity to work closely with project teams to deliver communication, and engagement plans to support the state’s most transformative health infrastructure projects. Manage workflows and teams to drive the execution of effective engagement and communication initiatives aligned with project timelines, community consultations, and collaborating with media, content, and project teams. Thrive in a fast-paced environment, leading with agility and collaboration, managing multiple priorities, and building trusted relationships to drive organisational success!

 

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Leading and supporting team members in building skills, achieving top performance, and delivering effective, best-practice engagement and communication.
  • Identifying and mitigating project communication risks while delivering strategic recommendations to leadership.
  • Leading the planning and implementation of communication materials and stakeholder engagement activities in line with key project milestones.

 

We are looking for:

  • Professionals with extensive communications and stakeholder engagement experience, working with complex, large-scale projects consistently achieving measurable outcomes.
  • A leader capable of aligning projects with strategic goals, assessing multifaceted challenges, and offering data-driven recommendations.
  • A Manager who can navigate a dynamic project environment, who can re-prioritise tasks and ensure timely, high-quality delivery of communications material.
