About the role
The Manager, Technical Assurance leads technical management, assurance and coordination for tram infrastructure projects across the Department, working with internal teams, franchisees and external stakeholders. The role provides authoritative technical leadership and represents the State’s technical interests to support safe, reliable and high-quality public transport outcomes.
The role oversees technical and operational risks, provides strategic advice on complex issues and supports the delivery of tram infrastructure and renewals across track, overhead, civil, structures and traction power. It builds strong stakeholder relationships, negotiates and influences at executive level, and leads a high-performing, engaged and inclusive team in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications and experience
You’ll bring:
- A relevant tertiary qualification (mandatory).
- Demonstrated experience in the oversight, delivery and management of assets or projects in a public transport environment (mandatory).
