About the Role
The Manager, Investment Modelling, Analytics & Insights Operations leads a team delivering investment modelling and analytics across DTP and franchisees for both road and rail assets. The role oversees daily operations, develops and maintains long-term lifecycle models, undertakes modelling to inform asset renewal and maintenance plans, and contributes to multidisciplinary projects. It also manages rail and road modelling artefacts, reviews asset condition data, produces insights for stakeholders, and drives continuous improvement while fostering effective relationships in a complex, dynamic environment.

Position Outcomes / Accountabilities
- Leadership – Manager operations is accountable for establishing an ongoing annual modelling task plan, leading and supervising the operations team and its assigned functions to ensure delivery of high-quality work in alignment with current strategies and in line with the annual task plan.
- Effective Lifecycle Planning and Cost Analysis – As the functional lead of the Investment Analytics and Insights Operations team, manager will develop and sustain investment analytics capabilities across rail and road networks to enable DTP to be informed custodian of the rail and road infrastructure.
- Continuous Improvement Strategy and Culture – Manager successfully foster a culture of engagement, participation and shared understanding across different stakeholders in relation to continuous improvement practices that aligned with the priorities of the Asset Intelligence department.
- Stakeholder Liaison and Management – The Manager builds a strong and effective working relationship with stakeholders; facilitates innovative solutions to resolve stakeholder competing needs. Acts as the key point of contact and

The DTP is seeking a dynamic leader with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, capable of delivering effective solutions while considering broader business impacts. The role requires exceptional stakeholder management, high-impact communication, and commercial acumen to drive value and manage organisational risk. Applicants should demonstrate expertise in data and digital literacy, foster innovation and continuous improvement, effectively manage teams, and show flexibility to adapt strategies to achieve optimal outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience
Mandatory
- Tertiary qualification in engineering, asset management or an equivalent qualification.
- Extensive demonstrated experience in asset management, Insights Analytics and life cycle planning
- Demonstratable experience in leading a team
Desirable
- Demonstrated experience in change management
- Demonstrated experience in systems engineering
