About the role

Job Location: 2 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne

The Manager Planning Analysis and Monitoring leads a small team that provides analysis, insights and reporting on planning policies, housing, development, population growth and land use outcomes across Victoria. The role brings together planning system, demographic, housing and land supply monitoring to deliver evidence-based insights that support planning reforms, housing delivery and economic growth initiatives.

The position provides expert advice to senior stakeholders, develops monitoring and evaluation frameworks, and produces clear reports to support strategic decision-making. It also drives innovation in digital monitoring systems, identifies emerging planning and land use issues, and contributes to the development and evaluation of key government policies and programs that support thriving communities and increased housing and employment opportunities.

Qualifications and experience 

You’ll bring: 

  • A tertiary qualification in urban planning, economics or a related field (mandatory).
  • Experience relevant to the accountabilities and capabilities of the role (desirable).
