About the role 


This is a Fixed Term Position until 30 June 2027

This role will lead, manage, motivate and develop a team of highly skilled engineers and project managers. The role encourages principle-based decision making where limited guidance is available, and reflecting and learning from experience. This role ensures the team are delivering to agreed outcomes and timeframes in accordance with corporate objectives and strategies. Projects include but not limited to intersection upgrades, lane duplications, safety improvements, traffic signal changes, pedestrian and cycling facilities across the arterial network. In addition, the role is involved in the oversight and advice on arterial road changes funded by developers and other agencies. The role liaises closely with teams responsible for the development of projects and the delivery of maintenance activities across the network.

Qualifications and experience 

You’ll bring: 

  • Tertiary qualification in engineering or related discipline
  • Driver’s License
  • Involve evening or weekend work including occasional overnight travel
  • You may be required to undertake a medical or other safety compliance requirement
