About the role
The Manager, Road Safety Investment leads the development and management of strategic road safety investment programs, including business cases, investment plans and infrastructure priorities. The role ensures investments align with road safety strategies, priorities, performance measures and the Safe System approach, while leading a small team and working collaboratively with government and external stakeholders to deliver effective, evidence-based road safety outcomes.

- Focuses on value, return on investment, efficiencies and managing organisational risk.
- Evaluates issues from multiple perspectives, identifies recurring problems and develops practical, sustainable solutions.
- Presents information clearly, logically and succinctly, tailoring communication to the audience.
- Builds accountability, engagement and performance while supporting teams to achieve outcomes.
- Builds strong internal and external partnerships, promotes collaboration and removes communication barriers.
- Develops and implements asset management strategies aligned with organisational priorities, service delivery and long-term sustainability.
Qualifications and experience
You’ll bring:
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field or demonstrated experience in program investment planning.
- Understanding of road safety and Safe System principles.
- Experience in program/project delivery, including project, contract, budget management and financial reporting.
- At least three years’ relevant experience in road safety, engineering or a related field.
