Join us in building better connections for Victoria by:

  • Leading and coordinating all day-to-day legal aspects for a portfolio of Big Build Roads projects, making an important contribution to tangible projects across the State.
  • Providing high quality and pragmatic legal advice, focussed primarily on project development, procurement, delivery, contracting and interfaces.
  • Managing, mentoring, and guiding other legal team members and undertake people management responsibilities as required.
  • Collaborating with the Commercial and Legal team, and the broader multi-disciplinary project team, to provide best-for-project solutions.
  • Managing internal and external legal resources and engaging with and influencing senior decision makers.
  • Contributing to procurement and contract management tools, standard forms and briefing documents.

 

About You

  • A construction, projects or infrastructure specialist, with extensive experience in contracting and delivery of large, complex projects. Experience with complex collaborative contracting models preferred.
  • A natural leader – you have experience in managing teams (formally or informally) to achieve best for project outcomes. Experience in managing external legal advisors would be a bonus.
  • A true collaborator – your expert communication skills and stakeholder management skills ensure a cohesive and collaborative approach in managing complex legal matters in a deadline driven environment.
  • Well-versed in managing contractual matters (including drafting and claims) and other complex legal matters throughout the development and delivery of infrastructure projects.

 

 

This opportunity is a 6 month fixed term, backfilling a period of parental leave.
