About the Role
This is a Fixed Term Opportunity until 30th of June 2027
Job Location: 1Spring Street, Melbourne
The Marketing Lead plans and delivers marketing campaigns for the Future Public Transport Ticketing system, helping explain changes and encourage customer uptake. They work with internal teams, transport partners and community groups to align messaging and gather input. They create clear, simple materials, reports and presentations to support decisions. Success means customers understand and adopt the new ticketing system, leading to smoother travel, better engagement, and a positive public experience as the system is introduced across Victoria.

You’re someone who:
- Enjoys working with people and communicating ideas clearly, including handling sensitive or difficult conversations with confidence.
- Can influence others by adapting messages to different audiences and linking ideas to their needs and goals.
- Can plan, coordinate and deliver work to meet agreed outcomes, tracking progress and making adjustments when needed.
- Has a strong focus on outcomes, helping others understand how their work contributes to broader goals and impact.
- Has good data skills, including using Excel to analyse data, create charts, and support informed decisions.

Qualifications and experience
You’ll bring:
- Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in marketing, campaigns, or a related field (Mandatory)
- Demonstrated stakeholder relationship skills, ideally in a project environment (Mandatory)
- Demonstrated experience leading the execution of complex marketing and customer communication campaigns, ideally in a government environment (Mandatory)
- Previous experience in a government environment, major project environment or transport (Highly desirable)
