About the Role
This is a Fixed Term Opportunity until 30th of June 2027
Job Location: 1 Spring Street, Melbourne
The Ministerial Events Lead coordinates high-profile events, meetings and engagements for Ministers and Members of Parliament, ensuring information and materials are accurate, clear and delivered on time. The role works closely with senior executives, department teams, Ministerial offices, industry and state and federal government partners, providing advice on government protocols and event requirements. The role also leads one staff member and supports a positive, collaborative team culture. Success means Ministerial events and engagements run smoothly, key stakeholders are well supported, deadlines are met, and senior leaders and Ministers receive reliable, timely and high-quality advice and information.

Qualifications and experience
You’ll bring:
Mandatory
- Proven experience working in communications, events or public affairs
- Ability to understand complex issues, and convey materials in a succinct and efficient manner, including highly sensitive, high-profile matters
- Understanding of government processes and policies, and experience working with executive leadership teams
Desirable
- Degree or associated level of qualification in communications, media, public administration or political science.
