About the role
The Organisational Design Lead works with business leaders, change teams and People and Culture to review and design how teams are structured and how work is organised across the department. They support the development of operating models, define responsibilities across teams and help plan workforce changes that align with DTP’s priorities. The role influences leaders by providing advice, facilitating workshops and using workforce data to guide decisions. Success in this role leads to clearer team structures, well-defined responsibilities and more effective ways of working, helping the department deliver its goals and manage change successfully.

Qualifications and experience
You’ll bring:
· Tertiary qualifications or experience in a relevant discipline. (mandatory)
· Strong experience in organisation design and operating model development. (mandatory)
· An ability to drive consistency and standardisation across diverse teams and branches. (mandatory)
· Proficient in data analysis and problem-solving to identify issues and provide recommendations. (mandatory)
· Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with senior business leaders and stakeholders. (mandatory)
· Knowledge of best practices in organisational design and job architecture, particularly in the public sector. (desirable)
· Experience with developing and mapping functional accountabilities and role designs in large organisations. (desirable)
· Familiarity with change management frameworks. (desirable)
