VIDA Health (Victorian Health Building Authority) is responsible for the rollout of the Victorian Government's multi-billion-dollar health capital projects. We're delivering world-class health facilities across Victoria including new public hospitals and emergency care, community health services, ambulance branches, residential aged care and mental health facilities. VIDA Health also provides technical support across engineering, property, asset management and environmental sustainability disciplines.
The Opportunity
As the People & Capability Advisor you will play a pivotal role in building the foundations of our People and Capability (P&C) function from the ground up. As a key member of the P&C team, you will provide expert advice and solutions to support the growth and development of our workforce. You’ll have the opportunity to improve processes across the People Operations team, provide leadership to a small team and support the team with issue resolution.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Leading day-to-day People Operations, including onboarding, offboarding, employment changes, pay and leave administration, approvals, and record-keeping.
- Overseeing high-volume enquiries and ensuring accurate, consistent, and timely responses.
- Partnering with People Partners to support workforce planning, performance management, and operational P&C advice.
- Supporting operational delivery aligned with VIDA Health’s People & Capability Roadmap.
We are looking for:
- Experience leading a people operations function and managing HR processes across the employee lifecycle.
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, industrial instruments, and employment legislation, or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy, consistency, and service standards.
- Experience supervising or guiding others, including coaching, work allocation, and development support.
- Strong communication skills, high emotional intelligence, and the ability to manage confidential information professionally.
- Adaptable, solutions-focused, and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-changing environment.
