About VHBA   

The Victorian Health Building Authority (VHBA) is responsible for the rollout of the Victorian Government's multi-billion-dollar health capital projects. We're delivering world-class health facilities across Victoria including new public hospitals and emergency care, community health services, ambulance branches, residential aged care and mental health facilities. VHBA also provides technical support across engineering, property, asset management and environmental sustainability disciplines.  

 

The Opportunity 

The Planner develops project schedules, advises on programs, and monitors progress across VHBA projects. Working with project teams across VHBA, the Principal Planner, will ensure program accuracy, identify critical tasks, and communicate status, delays, and mitigation strategies. 

 

Key aspects of the role include: 

  • Assist project teams in creating project schedules that align with completion targets, ensuring construction programs are realistic and performance is trackable. 

  • Provide guidance on project issues and give recommendations and mitigation measures to ensure project schedules are robust and meet required timeframes. 

  • Contribute to time-related matters for tender documentation to ensure clarity and alignment with project requirements. 

 

We are looking for:  

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in planning and scheduling all scope elements, disciplines, and phases of building construction projects. 

  • Proficient in creating staging diagrams, Power BI dashboards, and other visual communication tools to enhance and support detailed construction programs. 

  • Ability to effectively building positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
