About VIDA Roads

VIDA Roads is delivering a massive investment in the state’s roads.  We’re delivering major new road projects across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria while improving the roads people rely on every day.

The West Gate Tunnel Project will give Melbourne a second freeway link between the west and the city – providing a much-needed alternative to the West Gate Bridge and a vital second river crossing.

North East Link will fix the missing link in Melbourne’s freeway network with new 6.5 km tunnels from Watsonia to Bulleen. We’re also overhauling the Eastern Freeway and completing the M80 Ring Road at Greensborough.Big Build Roads are also delivering dozens of new roads, bridges, road widening projects and major freeway upgrades.

Join us in building better connections for Victoria by:

  • Leading and managing planning and environmental approval processes including planning scheme amendments, permit applications, environmental referrals and other approvals as required.
  • Managing planning, heritage and environmental consultants as required to assist progression of project issues.
  • Developing strong relationships and liaise closely with relevant regulators and stakeholders, including DTP, DEECA, EPA, Heritage Victoria, First Peoples Station Relations, DCCEEW, catchment management authorities, municipal councils and local environment interest groups.
  • Working collaboratively with VIDA Roads project teams to pre-empt and mitigate project risks in relation to all planning and environment matters.
  • Overseeing and participating in environmental monitoring and compliance activities, including site inspections and audits, to ensure delivery partner adherence to approved EPRs, CEMP, and legislative obligations.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing authoritative advice on a range of planning and environmental issues whilst working closely and building strong relationships with a range of government departments and industry stakeholders.

We have two opportunities available (1x up to 2-years fixed term and 1x up to 11-months secondment/fixed-term).

It will be a requirement to travel and spend time at one or all our site offices.
