About the role
This is a Fixed Term Position until 30 June 2028.
The role supports the Executive Director, Public Transport Ticketing by developing governance artefacts, coordinating government reporting, and preparing communication materials for senior stakeholders. It involves providing secretariat services, advising on governance practices, and managing reporting requirements, audits, and project documentation for high-value, high-risk future ticketing projects.
The role provides specialist governance advice and oversees project governance processes, reporting, and risk management for the future ticketing solution. Key responsibilities include coordinating government and Cabinet submissions, preparing senior stakeholder briefings, supporting Gateway reporting, managing governance committees, and leading a specialist team to ensure effective performance, workforce planning, and alignment with organisational goals.

You’re someone who:
- Strong experience implementing and managing project and program governance processes, ensuring compliance, accountability, and alignment with organisational objectives.
- Proven stakeholder engagement skills, managing complex internal and external relationships while balancing competing priorities and expectations.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across teams, government, and external partners to deliver shared outcomes and build strong working relationships.
- Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills, developing sustainable solutions across complex and changing environments.
- Highly adaptable and flexible, with the ability to adjust strategies, embrace new ways of working, and lead others through change and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and experience
You’ll bring:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in commerce, finance, economics, business management, or a related discipline are highly regarded.
- Demonstrated experience providing governance, policy, commercial analysis, and advisory support for major government or project delivery initiatives across public and/or private sectors.
- Strong understanding of governance principles, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and procurement or delivery models that support successful project outcomes.
