About the role
*This is a Fixed Term Position until March 2027*
The Program Manager leads the planning and delivery of large, complex organisational realignments and workforce change at the department. Reporting to the Director, People Change and Engagement, the role coordinates multiple workstreams to deliver timely, people-centred change while considering industrial relations, employee wellbeing and human-centred design.
The role oversees program governance, risks, reporting and operational readiness, to achieve the desired outcomes of the change. It provides strategic advice to executives, manages key stakeholder relationships, sponsors major policies and reform initiatives, and drives continuous improvement. The role works across DTP including; Legal, Finance, Workplace Relations, Health, Safety and Wellbeing, and People and Culture teams.

- Takes a future-focused approach, aligning priorities to organisational goals and staying current with emerging practices, technology and developments.
- Leads and navigates change, providing clarity, purpose and support to employees while guiding organisations through periods of uncertainty and transition.

Qualifications and experience
You’ll bring:
- Demonstrated experience leading complex, enterprise-wide organisational change (MoGs in a government or public sector environment.
- Experience leading people, workforce and stakeholder aspects of complex organisational integration, separation or transfer initiatives, supported by strong organisational and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge and ability to apply human-centred design principles to workplace change.
