About the role
The Project Engineer is responsible for delivering bus infrastructure and road works supporting Victorian bus network and service changes. Key responsibilities include stakeholder engagement, site inspections, scope development, design reviews, project coordination, risk management, and assessing third-party works to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
What we’re looking for (Selection Criteria)
You’re someone who:
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyse issues, make informed decisions, and develop practical solutions.
- Ability to coordinate and deliver projects effectively, manage priorities, maintain accurate records, and ensure work is completed on time and within budget.
- Proven stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships, address concerns, and achieve positive project outcomes.
- Experience applying asset management and project management principles to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient infrastructure delivery.
- Knowledge and practical experience in accessibility, construction, and implementation of transport or precinct infrastructure projects.

Qualifications and experience
You’ll bring:
- Tertiary Qualifications in Civil Engineering (mandatory)
- Full Victorian Drivers License (mandatory)

Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa necessary for the nature of the position.
