About the role 

This is a Fixed Term Position until 30 June 2027.

The Project Manager is responsible for implementing policy changes on to the transport network, including initiatives such as discounted public transport and the ban of converted e-bikes on trains. The role defines project scope, budgets, timelines and deliverables, and coordinates people and resources across the department to ensure successful implementation.

The position requires strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills, including leading working groups and governance forums. It involves managing risks, reporting progress, and providing clear analysis and advice to senior leaders, while working collaboratively to deliver change effectively and support broader transport network outcomes.

Qualifications and experience 

You’ll bring: 

• Mandatory: Demonstrated experience managing projects within Government, operational delivery or policy implementation, preferably within the transport sector
• Mandatory: Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
• Desirable: Project management qualifications and/or proven experience in project delivery
