About VHBA   

The Victorian Health Building Authority (VHBA) is responsible for the rollout of the Victorian Government's multi-billion-dollar health capital projects. We're delivering world-class health facilities across Victoria including new public hospitals and emergency care, community health services, ambulance branches, residential aged care and mental health facilities. VHBA also provides technical support across engineering, property, asset management and environmental sustainability disciplines. 

 

The Opportunity:  

The Project Manager will oversee the operational planning and delivery for a range of infrastructure Capital Projects at VHBA! With a high level of autonomy, they will manage key project elements, client relationships, cost, performance reporting, and compliance. This position will also represent VHBA in negotiations and supporting the resolution of complex issues through a process of consultation and negotiation with key stakeholders! 

  • Support project delivery across design, technical, planning, and compliance to ensure industry best practices and alignment with project goals. 

  • Identify, review, and provide solutions to project risks and issues, translating technical specifications into actionable plans and reports. 

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, proactively resolving issues and facilitating positive outcomes. 

 

We are looking for:   

  • Someone with the ability to understand and translate various technical project disciplines to achieve the best outcomes for projects and organisation. 

  • Someone with the ability to be comfortable in handling complex concepts; applying analytical and conceptual thinking to effectively work through challenges. 

  • Previous experience managing end-to-end infrastructure related Capital projects.  

  • Tertiary qualifications in Construction, Building, Engineering (or equivalent relevant experience). Mechanical Engineering experience is highly desirable.
