About VIDA Health 

 

VIDA Health (Victorian Health Building Authority) is responsible for the rollout of the Victorian Government's multi-billion-dollar health capital projects. We're delivering world-class health facilities across Victoria including new public hospitals and emergency care, community health services, ambulance branches, residential aged care and mental health facilities. VIDA Health also provides technical support across engineering, property, asset management and environmental sustainability disciplines. 

 

The Opportunity

 

In this position you will support and drive the end-to-end delivery of major health infrastructure projects. You will be partnering with health services to align scope, budget and funding, proactively manage risks, and keep projects on track. You will also be reviewing and challenging cost plans, grants, variations and claims to ensure compliance with VIDA Health standards and government requirements. You will also monitor and report on the progress of projects to support governance forums, and collaborate across planning, design, procurement, legal and communications to deliver safe, on-time and on-budget outcomes to create successful health infrastructure projects across the state!

 

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Identifying and managing emerging risks and issues, analysing multi-source data, and providing advice to support accountability and policy reform.
  • Reviewing and assessing grant submissions, technical documents, dependencies, buildability, costs and program allowances in line with VIDA Health standards.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders across planning, design, procurement, legal and communications.

 

We are looking for:

  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate with internal teams and external health services, anticipating and managing risks to ensure objectives are achieved.
  • A track record of turning stakeholder insights into action and fostering lasting, collaborative relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to craft clear, concise, and effective written materials such as emails, reports, scripts, and feedback to be tailored to purpose and audience.
  • Extensive project management or engineering services experience in a healthcare setting would be highly desirable
