VIDA Health (Victorian Health Building Authority) is responsible for the rollout of the Victorian Government's multi-billion-dollar health capital projects. We're delivering world-class health facilities across Victoria including new public hospitals and emergency care, community health services, ambulance branches, residential aged care and mental health facilities. VIDA Health also provides technical support across engineering, property, asset management and environmental sustainability disciplines. 

 

The Opportunity

 

As the Project Manager you will sit within Delivery Stream 4, supporting the delivery of High Value High Risk (HVHR) projects, typically complex initiatives valued at over $150 million.

Working closely with the Senior Project Manager, you will contribute to the full project lifecycle, from planning and procurement through to delivery and performance reporting. You will manage stakeholder relationships, coordinate consultants and contractors, monitor budgets and timelines, and help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on some of Victoria’s most significant health infrastructure investments, projects that require strong governance, technical coordination and collaborative leadership.

 

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Oversee capital project delivery to achieve government objectives, stay within budget, and meet community expectations.
  • Provide timely, expert advice on project issues and support decision-making to ensure proactive and effective project delivery.
  • Build and sustain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including divisions, regions, agencies, consultants, and contractors.
  • Offer expert advice to internal and external stakeholders and prepare detailed reports, ministerial briefs, and cabinet or agency submissions on complex issues.

 

We are looking for:

  • Ability to create clear project plans, supports team members, and proactively manage issues to ensure objectives are achieved.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather information, investigate thoroughly, and draw sound conclusions.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work respectfully with diverse styles, share information, and support team goals.
  • A tertiary qualification in fields related to building, engineering, project management or equivalent would be desirable.
