About VHBA
The Victorian Health Building Authority (VHBA) is responsible for the rollout of the Victorian Government's multi-billion-dollar health capital projects. We're delivering world-class health facilities across Victoria including new public hospitals and emergency care, community health services, ambulance branches, residential aged care and mental health facilities. VHBA also provides technical support across engineering, property, asset management and environmental sustainability disciplines.
The Opportunity:
The primary purpose of the Project Officer role is to support the Health Capital Projects team and contribute the full lifecycle of projects to meet departmental objectives. The Project Officer will be required to support the administration function for the delivery of capital projects, assist in the preparation and presentation of reports on project related matters, and provide contract administration support. Previous experience working on infrastructure projects and managing workflows would be highly regarded.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Providing administration support to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with governmental guidelines. Including, but not limited to, reporting, preparing briefs, resourcing, and contract administration.
- Supporting the delivery of projects or sub-projects in successful completion.
- Keeping accurate records of work activities.
We are looking for:
- Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Architecture, Building, Engineering, Construction or Social Policy are desirable
- Someone with a keen eye for detail and exceptional communication skills
- Someone with the ability to problem solve and prioritise
- A proactive learner with a curious and adaptive mindset
