VIDA Health (Victorian Health Building Authority) is responsible for the rollout of the Victorian Government's multi-billion-dollar health capital projects. We're delivering world-class health facilities across Victoria including new public hospitals and emergency care, community health services, ambulance branches, residential aged care and mental health facilities. VIDA Health also provides technical support across engineering, property, asset management and environmental sustainability disciplines.
The Opportunity
The primary purpose of the Project Officer role is to support various project teams and contribute to the full lifecycle of projects to meet departmental objectives. The Project Officer will be required to support the administration function for the delivery of minor and major building infrastructure projects, assist in the preparation and presentation of reports on project related matters, provide contract administration support, and financial reporting administration. Previous experience or exposure to health services or infrastructure related projects and managing workflows at an administrative level would be highly regarded.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Providing administration support to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with governmental guidelines, including, but not limited to, reporting, preparing briefs, resourcing, and contract and financial administration.
- Supporting the delivery of projects or sub-projects from concept through to completion.
- Accurate record keeping and data management in accordance with legislative policy requirements
- Delivering comprehensive administrative support across project teams
- Multiple positions are available across Grants and Project Delivery (design, delivery and commissioning).
We are looking for:
- Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Social Policy, Architecture, Building, Engineering or Construction
- Administrative experience within health services, project support, and/or construction project management. Understanding of grant funding lifecycles, contract administration or financial administration will be highly regarded for the position available within the Grants team.
- Someone with a keen eye for detail and exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- A proactive learner and problem solver with a curious and adaptive mindset
