About the role

The Project Officer works primarily with the Senior Finance and Infrastructure Analyst to support the development and delivery of Growth Areas Infrastructure Contribution (GAIC) Stage Payment Agreements (SPAs).  This role also provides administrative support across the GAIC Infrastructure Delivery Program and other infrastructure contributions programs as required.  You will sit within the Program Performance and Coordination division.

  • Assist with the processing and approval workflow of GAIC SPAs and amendments
  • Provide general project coordination support across the Infrastructure Contributions Coordination division,
  • Monitor project and team email inboxes, ensuring timely triage, routing and follow‑up
  • Contribute to the development of clear, well‑structured presentation materials
  • Prepare correspondence, reports and ministerial and internal briefings to support decision making.

You’re someone who has a sound foundational capability across systems thinking, problem solving and project delivery. You understand how your work contributes to broader organisational systems and apply structured thinking to resolve issues using established processes, seeking guidance where required. You effectively manage tasks, prioritise work and maintain accurate records to support project delivery. Strong stakeholder skills are essential, with the ability to respond to needs and provide timely updates. You communicate clearly and logically, tailoring information to your audience. A foundational understanding of statutory planning processes supports your ability to contribute effectively under guidance.

Qualifications and experience

You’ll bring:

  • Experience as project support or business support officer desirable.  
  • Experience using the GEMS grant management platform desirable.
