About the role 

 

The Records & Information Governance Manager provides strategic leadership and expert advice to strengthen organisational records and information governance. They lead initiatives to improve information maturity, modernise services and support digital transformation. The role develops and enhances governance frameworks, ensuring compliance, and promotes best practice through collaboration and a culture valuing information as a strategic asset.

The role provides expert advice on records and information governance to support decision-making, risk management and alignment with organisational priorities. It leads development and improvement of governance frameworks, delivers initiatives supporting digital transformation, manages information risks, and engages stakeholders. It also promotes strong recordkeeping culture and supports staff capability through guidance and leadership.

 

 

What we’re looking for (Selection Criteria) 

 

You’re someone who: 

  • Applies advanced critical thinking and problem-solving to consider broader business context, resolve complex issues, and embed sustainable solutions.
  • Manages complex and competing stakeholder needs, facilitating collaboration and resolving issues through innovative approaches.
  • Builds strong senior-level relationships and influences outcomes through persuasion, engagement, and leveraging expert support.
  • Leads delivery of strategic programs/projects, including governance, success measures, risk management and performance monitoring.
  • Provides strategic leadership in electronic records and information governance, aligning information management with organisational strategy and compliance requirements.

Qualifications and experience 

 

You’ll bring: 

  • Holds CERIM certification (or equivalent experience) demonstrating strong records and information management expertise (mandatory).
  • Understands and applies relevant information management frameworks and compliance requirements.
  • Experienced in implementing records and information governance best practice within organisational settings.
