About the Role
Job Location: 2 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne
The Registry Unit Manager leads a team delivering accurate and timely land registration services. They manage daily operations, allocate resources, and make sure work meets legal and organisational requirements. They guide staff, support training, and help resolve complex registration issues. The role works closely with internal teams and external partners to improve service delivery and implement changes. Success means faster, reliable and compliant property transactions, better customer outcomes, and a well-trained, high-performing team that supports Victoria’s property system.

You’re someone who:
- Enjoys leading and supporting people by setting clear expectations, giving regular feedback, and helping team members stay engaged and perform well.
- Can think through problems using a wider business view, find root causes, and put practical solutions in place that improve outcomes and prevent repeat issues.
- Has a strong focus on improving how work is done, encouraging ideas, learning from feedback, and using existing improvement processes to lift quality and efficiency.
- Works well with others by planning work in line with goals, role modelling positive behaviours, and breaking down barriers between teams.
- Builds collaboration across teams to share information and deliver better, more consistent results.

Qualifications and experience
You’ll bring:
- Excellent knowledge of LRS legislation, policies and practices and government reform agenda (desirable).
- Demonstrated ability to prepare written communications and technical reports at an advanced professional level (desirable).
