About the role
The Senior Advisor Inclusion and Diversity leads initiatives to promote an inclusive workplace culture at DTP. The role supports implementation of the inclusion and diversity strategy, develops programs and training, provides policy advice and works with Employee Resource Groups. It collaborates across government to deliver equity and inclusion objectives.
The role leads and influences stakeholders to deliver inclusion, diversity, and cultural change initiatives across DTP. It provides specialist advice on priority diversity groups, develops policy and strategic briefs, and embeds inclusion across the organisation. The role monitors outcomes, manages risks, delivers training, and represents the department in external forums.

Influences policy and inclusion outcomes by using evidence-based analysis, promoting diverse perspectives, and working collaboratively across teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications and experience
You’ll bring:

Tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management, Diversity and Inclusion, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

Proven experience designing, implementing, and evaluating programs or policies that advance equity, diversity, inclusion and social inclusion outcomes.

Strong understanding of diversity and inclusion principles, relevant legislation (including Equal Opportunity Act and Human Rights Charter), and/or lived experience from priority diversity groups.
Pre-employment checks and employment conditions
Relevant pre-employment screening and reference checks will be required.
Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa necessary for the nature of the position.
