Join us and be part of Victoria’s Big Build, working within the award-winning Level Crossing Removal Project. We’ve already removed some of Victoria’s most dangerous level crossings, and we’re not stopping any time soon with work to last us until at least 2030. There has never been a better time to get amongst the action!

About the role

Our Systems and Controls team are looking for a Senior Adviser, Knowledge Insights and Tools (KIT) with particular skills in service desk management, workshop facilitation and data analysis to join their small but busy team. This role is critical to the success of the KIT corporate program which aims to promote and share knowledge across LXRP and our alliances.

As the Senior Adviser, KIT you will be supporting the Business Systems Manager to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure KIT is meeting LXRP’s business objectives and stakeholder needs.

On a day-to-day basis, you will find yourself:

  • Managing a busy service desk, responding to tickets from across the entire business.
  • Analysing our data and capturing stakeholder feedback to continuously improve our systems and ways of working.
  • Training new starters on KIT and how to use the platform and systems effectively.
  • Working with systems such as Atlassian, Jira, Power BI, Sharepoint and Microsoft Suite.

This is a three (3) year fixed term position, paying a salary between $113,022 and $136,747 plus superannuation with hybrid working arrangement (a mix of office and home/remote based working). The office you will be working from is located in Melbourne CBD and you will also have the option to access flexible working arrangements if you need them – many LXRP employees work flexibly.

The team’s anchor day is Wednesday in the office, with the flexibility to choose a second office day per week that suits you.

Your manager, Emily Brizzi, has been at LXRP for almost four years. She specialises in UX design, as well as product and project management. She loves bringing people in on the journey, is big on collaboration and is open to all ideas you may have! She thrives on providing a fun environment to work in, whilst achieving excellent outcomes for all our stakeholders.

About you

You are someone that enjoys dealing with a large amount of stakeholders on a daily basis – this role interacts with many! You enjoy having a large breadth of work on your plate and can manage your time accordingly.

Let’s get technical – what skills do we expect you to have?

  • The ability to manage your time when you have a few work tasks on the go.
  • Good verbal and written communication to chat to many different stakeholders.
  • Some knowledge in systems like Atlassian, Jira, Power BI and Sharepoint.
  • Advanced facilitation and workshop skills including the ability to design and deliver training.

At LXRP we embrace diversity and inclusion. We actively strive to remove barriers and encourage applications from people of any age, or disability, Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islanders, culturally and linguistically diverse or LGBTIQA+. We will make adjustments to our recruitment process to ensure that you are able to participate to the best of your ability.

What next?

To apply – just submit your CV.

No need to submit a separate address of the key selection criteria, and no need for a cover letter. Instead, we like to ask a couple of assessed questions in the application form to get to know you better outside of what is written on your CV.

In this instance the questions are:

  1. Describe a time when you facilitated a workshop or training session to improve user understanding of a technical product or system. What was your approach, and what was the outcome? (max 300 words)
  2. LXRP values continuous improvement and knowledge sharing. How do you personally foster a culture of learning and improvement in your current team or workplace? (max 300 words).
  3. ‘Relationships’ is one of LXRP’s CARES values. Thinking of someone you work with regularly – how do you build and maintain a good working relationship with them? (max 300 words).

After assessing your CV and answers to the above questions, the next steps of the recruitment process might include:

  • a phone screen to learn more about you, and you to learn more about us
  • an interview to understand more about things you have worked on in the past
  • a practical activity where you can showcase your skills and potential

Please note: the successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which include national police checks and misconduct screening.
