VIDA Health (Victorian Health Building Authority) is responsible for the rollout of the Victorian Government's multi-billion-dollar health capital projects. We're delivering world-class health facilities across Victoria including new public hospitals and emergency care, community health services, ambulance branches, residential aged care and mental health facilities. VIDA Health also provides technical support across engineering, property, asset management and environmental sustainability disciplines.
The Opportunity
As the Senior Advisor, Project Engagement and Communications, you will lead the planning and delivery of communications and stakeholder engagement for a portfolio of priority health infrastructure projects.
This is a hands-on, project-facing role suited to a communications professional who thrives in delivery environments, partnering with project teams, engaging communities, managing issues, and ensuring stakeholders are informed, involved and confident in the projects shaping their local health services.
You will develop and implement fit-for-purpose engagement strategies, support milestone events and announcements, manage risks and issues, and create clear, accessible content tailored to diverse audiences.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Lead and deliver project communication and engagement strategies aligned to project objectives.
- Plan and facilitate community and stakeholder engagement activities, including information sessions, workshops and consultations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with project teams, health services, delivery partners, councils and community groups.
- Identify and support promotion of key project milestones through coordinated communications, media and events.
- Provide strategic advice, develop high-quality content, monitor engagement effectiveness and support team capability.
We are looking for:
- Experience in delivering communications and engagement within infrastructure, government or project-based environments.
- Strong project management capability, with the ability to manage competing priorities and shifting timelines.
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information into clear, audience-focused messaging.
- Proven stakeholder management experience, building productive relationships across diverse groups.
- Sound judgement and problem-solving skills, particularly in managing emerging issues and sensitive matters.
- A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams and mentor others.
