About the role
The role is fixed term fulltime until 30 April 2027.
This role supports a group of stakeholders by providing clear advice on funding priorities and business cases. The role works closely with internal teams, senior leaders, Ministers’ offices and agencies to understand needs and help plan and shape budget bids. It involves analysing information, preparing briefings and guiding the development of strong investment proposals. The role also helps coordinate budget processes and build strong working relationships. Success means better quality business cases, well-planned funding proposals and informed decisions that support effective delivery of services and infrastructure.

Qualifications and Experience
Mandatory
A tertiary qualification in a relevant or related discipline.
Other position specific requirements
The role may involve evening work during the period of the State Budget lodgement cycle.
Prior State budget or transport experience highly regarded.
Pre-employment checks and employment conditions
Relevant pre-employment screening and reference checks will be required.
Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa necessary for the nature of the position.
