About the role

The Senior Assurance Officer - VicRoads Concession Deed leads the implementation of DTP’s Five-year Assurance Plan – providing assurance over the VicRoads’ Joint Venture Operator’s delivery of its obligations against the Registration & Licensing and Custom Plates Concession Deeds. The Senior Assurance Officer will provide leadership and guidance to three Assurance Officers. This position will provide advice to senior leadership and prepare high quality reporting on assurance reviews and program status.

  • Applies strategic, analytical, and risk-based thinking to identify trends, address emerging issues, and develop effective solutions.
  • Uses compliance and assurance expertise to develop frameworks, analytical tools, and management systems that support strong governance and decision-making.
  • Leads and coordinates work programs, resources, and delivery priorities to achieve outcomes within agreed timeframes and performance measures.
  • Interprets complex contractual matters, supports team performance, and prepares high-quality reports and insights for senior leaders and external stakeholders.

Qualifications and experience

You will bring

 A formal qualification in Commerce, Finance, or Risk would be considered beneficial or proven relevant audit / compliance assurance related service and leadership experience.
