About the role
This role provides commercial and financial oversight for major Public Private Partnership (PPP) road projects. It manages contract performance, financial arrangements and operational matters, and provides expert advice to senior leaders and government stakeholders, including DTP and the Department of Treasury and Finance. The role works closely with private partners and internal teams to monitor outcomes, resolve issues and support decision-making. It also prepares briefings and reports. Success in this role ensures PPP projects are well managed, financially sound and deliver reliable services, supporting effective infrastructure delivery and value for money for the public.

Qualifications and experience
You’ll bring:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in commerce, finance, accounting or a related discipline (Mandatory).
- A proven track record of effectively managing complex and sensitive information from multiple stakeholders, often with competing priorities (Mandatory).
- Advanced Excel data analysis skills (Mandatory).
- Experience managing commercial contracts preferably in Transport or Infrastructure (Desirable).
- Strong collaborative, interpersonal and consultation skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across the organisation and with external stakeholders (Desirable).
- Previous experience with Victorian State Government processes and systems (Desirable).
- High degree of attention to detail and pride in quality of deliverables (Desirable).
- Enthusiasm to learn and develop (Desirable).
