About VHBA
The Victorian Health Building Authority (VHBA) is responsible for the rollout of the Victorian Government's multi-billion-dollar health capital projects. We're delivering world-class health facilities across Victoria including new public hospitals and emergency care, community health services, ambulance branches, residential aged care and mental health facilities. VHBA also provides technical support across engineering, property, asset management and environmental sustainability disciplines.
The Opportunity:
The Senior Communications and Engagement Adviser will play a lead role in the planning and implementation of communication and engagement strategies for the Authority’s priority projects. This position will involve the facilitation of community and stakeholder consultation workshops, media and issues management, and content development.
- Prepare high quality and timely communication materials to support the delivery of some of our largest projects!
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with a range of stakeholders
- Identify and manage risks and issues related to project communications, offering expert guidance on risk management and formulating effective mitigation strategies
We are looking for:
- Proven experience in communications and stakeholder engagement within a project delivery environment, with the ability to develop plans that clearly define objectives and outline specific actions to achieve them
- Ability to recognise and addresses stakeholders’ underlying needs while fostering mutually beneficial partnerships
- Experience drafting and refining communications using clear, concise, and grammatically accurate language; ensures content includes all necessary information to fulfill its purpose and meet audience needs, using suitable styles and formats.
