About the role 

The Senior Contract and Commercial Officer – Projects & Third-Party Agreements provides contract management and commercial oversight for projects and third-party agreements across the Victorian rail network. The role acts as a trusted advisor on contractual matters, managing the commercial lifecycle of agreements while identifying, monitoring, and resolving commercial risks and issues in partnership with rail operators and stakeholders.

The role maintains strong stakeholder relationships, ensures contractual compliance, monitors deliverables and payments, and provides timely reporting and correspondence management. It also oversees commercial opportunities within the Metro Tunnel PPP, supports continuous improvement initiatives, promotes value-for-money outcomes, and contributes to a safe, inclusive, and collaborative team environment.

Qualifications and experience 

You’ll bring: 

  • Experience managing commercial contracts and providing contractual advice within complex operational and/or project environments (mandatory).
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, engineering, law, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in the transport industry and/or major construction projects.
