VIDA Health (Victorian Health Building Authority) is responsible for the rollout of the Victorian Government's multi-billion-dollar health capital projects. We're delivering world-class health facilities across Victoria including new public hospitals and emergency care, community health services, ambulance branches, residential aged care and mental health facilities. VIDA Health also provides technical support across engineering, property, asset management and environmental sustainability disciplines. 

 

The Opportunity

 

Join VIDA Health as a Senior Cost Controller and help drive the successful delivery of Victoria’s major health infrastructure projects. Partnering with Project Controls and delivery teams, you'll support cost planning, forecasting, governance, reporting and project controls, ensuring projects are delivered with strong financial oversight and cost certainty.

 

Experience with EcoSys, Oracle Financials or similar systems is desirable, along with experience on large-scale infrastructure or construction projects and qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction, Cost Management or a related field.

 

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Contribute to contractor bid reviews and assist in contractor variation and claims evaluations.
  • Support the development of business cases, this includes project cost estimate and analysis of historic costs for benchmarks. 
  • Responsible for cost administration activities including accruals, validations and staff costs, while supporting delivery teams with monthly contractor progress claims, project reporting, contract and change management, and contractor bid, variation and claims evaluations.

 

We are looking for:

  • Extensive experience in Cost Control and understanding Project Management principles within major construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Understanding of project control processes, including cost forecasting, scheduling, and month-end reporting.
  • Knowledge of working within multidisciplinary teams, delivering quality work within established timeframes to ensure key project risks are identified.
  • Tertiary qualification within Accounting (including CPA or CA qualification), Commerce, Business or extensive relevant industry experience.
