Summary

Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) is an integrated transport infrastructure and precincts planning project that will deliver a 90km rail line linking every major train service from the Frankston Line to the Werribee Line via Melbourne Airport, as well as investment in the suburbs, better connecting Victorians to jobs, retail, education, health services and each other. Suburban Rail Loop Authority (SRLA) is the statutory body established to plan all elements of the project, procure builders, develop structure planning for SRL Precincts and oversee construction and the other changes that will help transform Melbourne and Victoria.

About the opportunity

The Senior Delivery Manager, Linewide and Operations will play a lead client role in ensuring the effective delivery of the Linewide Package of works. The role is responsible for leading a team of multi-disciplinary project managers and engineers to support and enable effective delivery by the Linewide Alliance. This leadership responsibility extends through the design, delivery, commissioning and handover into the operation of the Suburban Rail Loop East.


The successful candidate will have exceptional leadership skills and demonstrated ability to deliver through high performing multi-disciplinary teams to achieve project outcomes. This leadership capability extends to working collaboratively with the Linewide Alliance across the globe while also pre-empting and mitigating interface and stakeholder risks. Experience managing potentially significant legal, political, environmental and commercial challenges associated with large scale infrastructure projects while delivering outcomes will be highly regarded. About you

  • Experience in building influential partnerships and fostering a collaborative culture within a matrix organisational structure.  

 

  • Extensive experience in leading project outcomes across all stages of the project lifecycle including design, delivery, and handover into operations.

 

  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders

  • Experience across a broad range of project contract frameworks, with a focus on Alliances.

  • Demonstrated experience in the delivery of major projects on client and market side organisations is desirable.
