About the group


Investment and Technology leads and manages the investment lifecycle; drives commercial advice & negotiations to facilitate reform; and enables core delivery through Finance, Procurement & Enterprise Technology.

The Data & Digital Division sits within Strategy & Precincts. Data & Digital provides the department with operational excellence for data and digital enabled services and project execution for large scale design and uplift initiatives.

 

About the role


This is a fixed term role until 1st of October 2026


The Senior Digital Services Advisor is as a part of Data & Digital Division, reports to the Manager, Application & Digital Support and provides leadership and guidance   within this space. The successful candidate’s primary responsibility will be to support web and mobile platforms, ensuring their performance, performance, security, and availability by applying ITIL service management principles. They will also be a key player in building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors to ensure environments are fit for purpose and cost-effective using continuous improvement methods and innovative solutions. The successful candidate will collaborate with team members, vendors, developers, testers and business stakeholders to resolve issues impacting customers and recommend solutions for remediation and delivery into production.

Success in this role requires a proactive professional who applies strong critical thinking to resolve complex issues, using sound judgement to interpret guidelines and develop effective solutions where precedents do not exist. The role demands advanced digital and technological capability to integrate improved systems into service delivery, balancing strategic intent with practical implementation. 

 

Position accountabilities


-Provide specialist professional and independent recommendations and judgement to give efficient and effective support of DTP Digital Applications and apply ITIL Framework principles, ensuring departmental online services and associated applications meet availability, performance and security standards.
-Develop and maintain effective relationships with business managers, service providers. 
-Coordinate and contribute to the development of and changes to IT services delivering fit-for-purpose and maintainable services. 
-Undertake research and analysis to improve the quality of technical support and administration functions for Digital Applications and Services. 
-Provides a high level of support to modern digital solutions, content management systems and GEO Spatial services and cloud services.
-Provides leadership in the resolution of IT incidents and changes that impact Digital Applications and Services

 

Qualifications and Experience 

Mandatory 

-    Expertise in managing cloud-based products (e.g., Cloudflare, Jira, Confluence) 
-    Brings a strong understanding of ITIL principles and process.

Desirable  

-    Proven ability to collaborate with those responsible for ongoing systems and software life cycle management to select, adopt and adapt working practices. Support the deployment of the working environment for systems and software life cycle working practices for Digital Applications and Services.

-    Ability to maintain digital application and service support processes check requests for support are dealt with according to agreed procedures. Use digital application management software and tools to investigate and resolve issues, collect performance statistics and create reports.

-    Ability to assesses, analyses, develop, document and implement changes based on requests for change. Ensuring operational processes are in place for effective change control. Developing, configuring and maintaining tools to manage and report on the lifecycle of change requests.  Identify problems and issues and recommend corrective actions.

-    A tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Systems, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience managing Sitecore CMS or similar enterprise-level content management systems.
