About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Education & Engagement Manager, this role will provide advice and guidance to support the team in delivering events and activations that communicate key educational and safety messages that improve safety and reduce risk across our communities.
The responsibilities of the Senior Education Engagement Officer will include, but are not limited to:
- Lead the delivery and implementation of educational events across our three modes, engaging with internal and external stakeholders to deliver ST Vic's educational initiatives.
- Lead and oversee event management, process optimisation, supplier and contract management, and end-to-end logistics to ensure efficient and high-quality delivery aligned with strategic objectives.
- Provide leadership, guidance and support to the Education and Engagement team, in line with agreed procedures, to develop and deliver safety interventions and adult educational initiatives that ensure the agreed outcomes and outputs are achieved, update/develop processes and procedures as necessary.
- Oversee and review the evaluation of educational programs to identify risks, with a focus on achieving improved safety outcomes through educational delivery, including capturing data from events to inform/create reports.
- Develop engaging educational materials, resources, and activities that cater to our communities and industries and disseminate educative messages through our various channels.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, engaging with a diverse range of government, industry, and community stakeholders to co-design and deliver impactful educational programs that meet stakeholder needs and organisational goals.

Qualifications
Desirable:
- Demonstrated experience working in developing and delivering educational materials and communications for diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated proficiency in leveraging technology tools and platforms to enhance communication.
- An event management qualification or relative experience.
- An educational qualification or experience in delivering educational programs.
- A relevant qualification, such as Workplace Training and Assessment is highly desirable.

It is an inherent requirement of this position that the employee is ready, willing, and able to perform work outside their ordinary place of residence as this role requires regular weekend work of approximately one weekend per month. Flexibility to work additional weekends as needed is required. Occasional public holiday and evening work is also required, with occasional overnight stays.
Successful candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Records Check prior to commencing employment with Safe Transport Victoria. For further information
