Investment and Technology leads and manages the investment lifecycle, provides commercial advice and negotiations to facilitate reform, and enables core delivery through Finance, Procurement, and Enterprise Technology.
The Portfolio Management Office (PMO) is part of the Budget Strategy & Portfolio Assurance (BS&PA) Division within the Department of Transport and Planning (DTP). The BS&PA delivers an integrated approach to managing the Department’s investment lifecycle through close collaboration across the Department and active engagement with central agencies and Ministerial Offices.
About the Role
The role is fulltime ONGOING. As the Senior Governance Advisor within the Project Governance and Assurance team of the PMO, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective administration of the Department’s Investment Lifecycle Framework (ILF).
Aligned with the Victorian Government’s Investment Lifecycle Guidelines, the ILF outlines the key phases of an investment—from design through to benefit realisation—along with the supporting guidelines, processes, documentation, and approval pathways required at each stage.
In this role, you will deliver high-quality Secretariat functions to multiple Committees, act as a trusted advisor on project governance, ensuring the quality and completeness of project documentation and governance pathways and Manage operational services within the Governance team, including processes for the Portfolio Steering Committees (PSCs), enabling effective and timely decision-making.

Qualifications and Experience
Mandatory

Demonstrable experience in portfolio/project/program governance and/or delivery.
Desirable
-
Relevant tertiary degree.

Experience in project, program, and process delivery.

Experience navigating State Government processes and Committees, including the annual State Budget process.
