About the role
Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel, Public Private Partnerships, this role provides expert, commercially focused legal advice on major transport and infrastructure projects across Victoria. The role supports PPPs involving roads, public transport assets and precincts, as well as concession arrangements for vehicle registration, licensing and land registry services.
The Senior Lawyer will work collaboratively with legal, commercial and technical stakeholders to manage complex contracts, disputes, construction and land matters, and broader commercial issues. They will provide strategic advice, manage external legal advisors, draft key legal documents, identify emerging risks and help deliver value for money and strong outcomes for the State and Victorians.

- Provides sound legal advice and drafts high-quality legal documents, applying relevant law, policy and commercial considerations with minimal guidance.

Qualifications and experience
You’ll bring:
- List Admitted as a lawyer in Victoria and eligible to hold a Victorian practising certificate (mandatory)
- Experience in private practice, Government or in-house with a broad range of commercial agreements, PPPs or major infrastructure would be viewed favourably (desirable).

Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa necessary for the nature of the position.
