About the role

Join Land Use Victoria (LUV) Service Delivery Operations as the Senior Manager, Surveying Services, leading a skilled team of licensed and technical surveyors in delivering critical government land services and supporting the Surveyor-General of Victoria under the Surveying Act 2004. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in cadastral surveying and land legislation, providing technical guidance on government projects and land dealings. You will support the Registrar of Titles and Surveyor-General in overseeing statewide survey standards through the Survey Audit program, manage outsourced surveying work via the Surveying Services Panel, and shape the future of land surveying services in Victoria while driving innovation, quality, and excellence across the team.

The role oversees government projects, manages outsourced surveying services, leads the State-wide Survey Audit program, and collaborates with the Surveyor-General to maintain survey standards. The role also supports industry capability building, ensuring high-quality, accurate, and compliant surveying outcomes across Victoria.

Qualification and Experience


– To be a practising Licensed Surveyor in Victoria whose registration by the Surveyor’s Registration Board of Victoria is not subject to any condition, limitation or restriction (Mandatory).

 – A minimum of ten years’ experience working as a licensed surveyor in Victoria (Mandatory).

– Demonstrable experience working successfully in government and/or applied knowledge of Crown Land Surveying. (Highly Desirable)

– Strong track record of leading medium to large size teams delivering surveying services to private sector and/or government clients (Desirable)

– Proven experience in the management of third-party surveying services providers, whether through direct contract management or some other outsourcing model. (Desirable)
