About VHBA:
The Victorian Health Building Authority (VHBA) is responsible for the rollout of the Victorian Government's multi-billion-dollar health capital projects. We're delivering world-class health facilities across Victoria including new public hospitals and emergency care, community health services, ambulance branches, residential aged care and mental health facilities. VHBA also provides technical support across engineering, property, asset management and environmental sustainability disciplines.
The Opportunity:
This opportunity is a full-time, fixed-term position available for up to three years. We offer flexible work arrangements, with three days per week based in our CBD office. Occasional weekend work and travel across Victoria will be required.
- In this position will you create and manage media opportunities across print, radio, TV and online.
- Monitor emerging issues, media narratives, and stakeholder responses surrounding our projects to ensure timely, informed, and strategic communications.
- Create meaningful connections with internal and external stakeholders, inviting their insights and collaboration to shape forward-thinking media and content strategies.
We are looking for:
- A proactive and results-driven media and content expert with expertise in leading and executing earned media strategies across proactive and reactive scenarios.
- Expertise in identifying opportunities to drive media coverage, navigating fast-moving issues, and ability to make judgment and strategic clarity.
- A person who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with a background in media relations and issues management.
- Tertiary qualifications in fields related to communications, journalism, and media are desirable.
