About the role

This is a fixed-term role concluding on 30th June 2027.

The Operations workstream is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the myki ticketing products and services used by customers to pay for and access travel.

The ticketing technology is largely delivered through a primary contracted supplier, with a strong emphasis on governance and oversight by the responsible area. Governance is supported through established working groups, processes and procedures that align with the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework. Reporting to the Account Based Ticketing (ABT) Operations Readiness Manager, the Senior Open Payment Ticketing Specialist - Defect and Acceptance, is responsible for technical oversight of open payment and ABT defect management, acceptance testing and vendor defect governance within the Payment and Transition capability stream.

Qualifications and experiences

You’ll bring:

Demonstrated experience in defect management, acceptance testing, and quality assurance in complex ICT or payment system environments (desirable)

Knowledge of open payment and EMV technology, defect lifecycle management, and contractual acceptance frameworks (desirable)

This position may require network and site visits to assess ticketing products and services that are changing, experiencing issues, or to gather information for a management brief.
