About the role

This is a Fixed term opportunity to January 2027

The Senior People & Culture Business Partner provides trusted strategic and operational HR advice to leaders and employees within their client group. This opportunity supports managers in navigating complex people matters, managing employee cases and building leadership capability through coaching and guidance. Working closely with P&C specialists, the position helps address workforce issues and identify emerging trends. By developing strong partnerships with the business, the role designs and delivers targeted initiatives, including training, workforce planning and culture strategies that support a positive, capable and high-performing workplace.

  • Build strong, trusted relationships with senior leaders and divisional teams to provide expert, solution-focused HR advice across the employee lifecycle.
  • Support the implementation of tailored People Plans in partnership with divisional leadership, ensuring alignment with the broader organisational people strategy
  • Coach and support people leaders in managing complex HR matters
  • Support organisational change, restructures, and workforce planning
  • Coordinate the delivery of cyclical HR processes.

Key selection criteria

This opportunity will  require strong stakeholder management skills, ability to build productive partnerships and respond to stakeholder needs to achieve outcomes. You communicate with credibility and clarity, confidently addressing complex or sensitive issues. With strong critical thinking, you analyse challenges within the broader business context and deliver practical solutions. You foster collaboration through co-creation with stakeholders and guide teams to share knowledge and work together to deliver successful outcomes

Qualifications and experience

Mandatory

  • Demonstrated experience in providing high-quality strategic and operational HR advice across a range of people and culture matters.

Desirable

  • Tertiary qualification in a Human Resources or relevant field.
  • Experience using various HRIS software programs, preferably HCM Success Factors/SAP

Pre-employment checks and employment conditions

Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa necessary for the nature of the position.
