Planning and Land Services manages the state’s planning, land use and property systems, as well as environmental, heritage and development assessments. Within this group, the State Planning Division leads the development of planning policy, oversees statutory processes, and delivers reforms that shape Victoria’s growth and liveability.
About the role
As Senior Planner, Regional Planning Partnerships, you will deliver the Regional Planning Hub program across regional and rural Victoria. You’ll work closely with councils to support their statutory and strategic planning priorities, build capability and reduce permit backlogs, while also providing high-level statutory services and advice to the Minister for Planning. This role plays a critical part in driving initiatives that enhance prosperity, sustainability and liveability in regional communities.

What you’ll bring
You will bring a strong foundation in land use planning, with the ability to manage complex projects and deliver high-quality statutory and strategic outcomes. Your experience in building productive stakeholder relationships, providing authoritative advice, and communicating with impact will be key to success. A relevant tertiary qualification in Planning (or related field) and demonstrated experience delivering complex planning projects are required.

Qualifications and experience
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Planning, or a related field, is required.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering complex land use planning projects is required.
