About the Role
This is a Fixed Term Opportunity until 30th June 2027
Job Location: 1 Spring Street, Melbourne
The Senior Planner assesses complex planning permit applications and scheme amendments for the Minister for Planning. They lead projects, provide expert advice, and prepare high-quality reports and briefings. The role works closely with senior leaders, government agencies and stakeholders to manage approvals and deliver timely outcomes. They also support team performance, share knowledge and contribute to a collaborative, inclusive workplace. Success in this role ensures sound planning decisions, efficient project delivery, and strong stakeholder confidence in the planning process.

Qualifications and experience
You’ll bring:
- A relevant qualification in planning (mandatory)
- Significant experience in private consulting, local or state government statutory planning (mandatory)

Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa necessary for the nature of the position.
