About the Role

*Two Fixed Term roles until 28th May 2027

*Job Location: 1 Spring Street, Ringwood or Sunshine, Melbourne

The Senior Project Lead oversees the planning, delivery and handover of major road infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet safety, operational and future transport network needs. The role provides expert advice on project scope, governance, risks and technical matters, while coordinating with delivery agencies, government stakeholders and internal teams. It acts as a key link between project partners to resolve issues, manage project interfaces and support informed decision-making. Success in this role helps deliver integrated transport infrastructure that provides long-term benefits, improves network performance and supports economic growth across Victoria.

Qualifications and experience 

  • Demonstrated experience in the development and/or delivery of major transport-infrastructure projects (desirable).
  • A tertiary qualification in engineering, project management or relevant industry experience in engineering or asset management (mandatory).
  • A current and valid driver licence (without any restriction which preclude the incumbent from performing the inherent requirements of the position and which cannot be reasonably accommodated by the Department) (mandatory).

Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa necessary for the nature of the position.
