VIDA Health (Victorian Health Building Authority) is responsible for the rollout of the Victorian Government's multi-billion-dollar health capital projects. We're delivering world-class health facilities across Victoria including new public hospitals and emergency care, community health services, ambulance branches, residential aged care and mental health facilities. VIDA Health also provides technical support across engineering, property, asset management and environmental sustainability disciplines.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of major health capital projects, from procurement through to construction and completion. You will play a critical role in managing complex construction contracts, resolving issues, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned to government and community expectations.
Working within a dynamic delivery environment, you will engage closely with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders, providing expert advice and driving outcomes across high-value, high-risk projects.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Lead the delivery of major capital health infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with scope, budget, and timelines.
- Manage procurement processes and oversee construction contracts, including negotiations and variations.
- Monitor project performance, including expenditure, forecasting, and reporting to key stakeholders.
- Identify risks and emerging issues, implementing proactive strategies to resolve challenges.
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across government, contractors, and delivery partners.
- Provide high-quality advice, technical reports, and briefings to support decision-making.
We are looking for:
- Ability to creates clear project plans, supports team members, and proactively manages issues to ensure objectives are achieved.
- Proven experience delivering complex construction or infrastructure projects.
- Strong commercial acumen, including budget management, forecasting, and contract administration.
- Sound technical understanding of construction methodologies, ideally within complex or brownfield environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate outcomes.
- Strong written communication skills, with experience preparing detailed reports and briefings.
- A tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline (desirable).
