About the role
Two (2) fulltime fixed term positions available until 30 June 2028.
The Senior Project Manager leads major public transport technology projects from planning through implementation, operational readiness and transition. The role manages complex ticketing technology and infrastructure activities, including decommissioning legacy devices, while ensuring delivery meets scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety and customer requirements.
The role oversees governance, risks, dependencies, suppliers and integrated delivery plans, while coordinating transport operators, government stakeholders and delivery partners. It provides clear reporting and advice to senior management, leads multidisciplinary teams, builds strong stakeholder relationships, resolves delivery issues, and supports operational readiness and the successful transition of assets and services into ongoing operations.

Qualifications and experience
You’ll bring:
- Demonstrated project management experience delivering large- scale ticketing and fare collection systems or comparable technology implementations, including device rollout, business readiness and change management across complex stakeholder environments. (Mandatory)
- Demonstrated understanding of ticketing systems, fare structures and business rules with experience advising customer, operational and policy stakeholders on the implications of system functionality, operational requirements and technical constraints (Mandatory)
- Demonstrated experience managing end to end project delivery, including planning, governance, supplier management, budget, risk management and executive reporting (Mandatory)
- A relevant tertiary qualification in project management, engineering, technology, business management or a related discipline, or accreditation in a recognised project management methodology such as PRINCE2, PMBOK or AIPM. (Desirable)
