About VIDA Health
VIDA Health (Victorian Health Building Authority) is responsible for the rollout of the Victorian Government's multi-billion-dollar health capital projects. We're delivering world-class health facilities across Victoria including new public hospitals and emergency care, community health services, ambulance branches, residential aged care and mental health facilities. VIDA Health also provides technical support across engineering, property, asset management and environmental sustainability disciplines.
The Opportunity
As the Senior Project Officer you will contribute to the end-to-end delivery of health infrastructure projects, working closely with health services to align scope, budget and funding, and proactively identify risks and emerging issues that may impact delivery.
You will review and challenge cost plans, grant submissions, change requests and claims to ensure compliance with VIDA Health standards and government requirements. You will also monitor and report on project progress, support governance forums, and collaborate across planning, design, procurement, legal and communications to help deliver safe, on-time and on-budget outcomes across Victoria’s health infrastructure portfolio.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Identifying and managing emerging risks and issues, analysing multi-source data, and providing advice to support accountability and informed decision-making.
- Reviewing and assessing grant submissions, technical documentation, dependencies, buildability, costs and program allowances in line with VIDA Health standards.
- Supporting the development and implementation of contingency strategies to address project risks and delivery challenges.
- Monitoring and reporting on project progress, including participation in governance forums such as Project Control Groups and Steering Committees.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders across planning, design, procurement, legal and communications functions.
We are looking for:

- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive stakeholder relationships and contribute to collaborative outcomes.
- Proven experience preparing clear, concise and effective written materials including emails, reports, briefings and feedback tailored to audience and purpose.
- Experience in project management and/or engineering services, ideally within a healthcare or infrastructure environment (desirable).
